These terms are an agreement between you and Caleb Chapman, a sole proprietor based in Tennessee, doing business as Detale (“Detale”, “we”, “us”) for using the Detale apps and detaleapp.com (the “Service”). If you use Detale for a company, you agree to these terms for that company too. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
Accounts
You need an account to use Detale, except subcontractors uploading through an upload link. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. The owners of a company control its account, including who is a member, its billing, and deleting it.
Your content
Your company owns the photos, jobs and other content its team adds. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only to provide the Service to you (for example, making thumbnails and PDF reports). You’re responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including photos of other people’s property, and for anything you share through share links.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Detale to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload malware, try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or overload or disrupt the Service.
Plans, trials and billing
- New companies get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- Subscriptions are per company, billed monthly in advance through Stripe on detaleapp.com, and renew until canceled.
- You can cancel at any time. The company keeps working until the end of the paid period; we don’t give refunds for partial months unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, the Service keeps working for 14 days while you update your payment method. After that, the company is locked.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing period.
- Storage limits are set by your plan. Going over doesn’t stop uploads, but you’ll be asked to make room or change plans.
Locked companies and deletion
When a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends or stays unpaid past the grace period, the company is locked: no one can view or add content until an owner subscribes. Data is retained for 60 days after a subscription ends (30 days for trials that never converted), then permanently deleted. We email owners before deletion, and owners and admins can download a copy of their data while the company is locked. Deletion is permanent.

Availability and changes
We work to keep Detale running and your data safe, but the Service is provided “as is” and may sometimes be unavailable. Keep your own copies of anything you can’t afford to lose. We may change or stop features; if we make a change that significantly reduces the Service, we’ll tell owners in advance.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Detale at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other users at risk, with notice where we reasonably can.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what your company paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Davidson County, Tennessee, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
